Welcome to 2016! Throw glitter & let's celebrate  – by wearing all black?

Girlfriends, 2016 is going to be a good one. I can feel it. I'm thinking positive thoughts, dreaming big dreams and planning for one of my brightest, sparkliest years yet. It seems my closet didn't get that memo, though, because here I am brooding in head-to-toe black.

"Thinking about it, I rarely ever do, so maybe this is the perfect way to start the year. As a matter of fact, I know it is."

I felt like I should've rung in the year with glitter and sequins, but because of my move, my closet is going through some things. My go-to moto jacket and #allblackeverything is just easy right now. I'm just hoping all black doesn't look too depressing with a dash of leopard, right?

Not that there's anything wrong with going over to the dark side. Thinking about it, I rarely ever do, so maybe this is the perfect way to start the year. As a matter of fact, I know it is. Here's to trying new things in the new year. Cheers!

Classic Mix Up

There comes a point when all closet conscious people have to question themselves. For me, that question is usually, "wait, have I worn this chambray button up too much?" And the answer usually is, "probably, but one more time won't hurt!"

"I'M JUST GOING TO PRETEND IT'S NOT THE FIFTY-MILLIONTH TIME I'VE WORN STRIPES."

The sames goes for this leopard clutch. And for anything striped. Though, I should note, this pencil skirt is a new so, I'm just going to pretend it's not the fifty-millionth time I've worn stripes.

It's fair to say that I'm not the coolest girl on the block. I have a lot of  bright colors, flirty cuts, and glittered anything in my closet. Black, white and badass has never been my M.O. 

I admire many of the chic, minimal bloggers for their effortless style (franceta johnson, the mich mix, harper & harley), but I've always felt incomplete without color or an accessory overload.

Now that I'm more comfortable with my style and experimenting, I'm ready to give it a go. But I don't think I can give up over accessorizing. I'm keeping my layered bracelets, bold lipstick and even a leopard print or two.
