The Littlest Blue Dress

A periwinkle blue babe of a dress for summer

Little Blue Summer Dress

Today is a holiday, and there's not much on anyone else's mind but enjoying the summer kickoff celebrations, so I'll keep this post short. Short much like the length of this dress. Yes, this periwinkle blue babe of a dress is quite possibly the littlest one I own, but damn if I don't love it. What it lacks in fabric, it makes up for in attitude.

It's the kind of dress you wear when it's summer, you're 25, in a new city and you want to feel like you have not a care in the world...

It's the kind of dress you wear when it's summer, you're 25, in a new city and you want to feel like you have not a care in the world, if only for a brief moment, because in actuality, you have a lot of cares. So many cares that you often feel like you just want to go back home where things were easier. But, then you stop, breathe and realize that none of those things matter once you put on a dress like this.

Back To Cali: Travel Diary

Santa Monica Pier

I'll be honest gals: this week back from L.A. has thrown me for an absolute loop. I think I've just settled back in. That doesn't mean I'm not missing the west coast, though. I'll be lusting over these images all weekend, from my beachside days to the strolls downtown.

bouquets, blazers & boyfriends

Black Blazer Vest

I have finally learned why people are so quick to declare that "the west coast is the best coast."
My first visit to was all the more special because I was visiting my man-friend for the first time since he moved to L.A..

Following my Cali friend's guidance, my first stop was DTLA's Flower Market, a beautiful warehouse filled with fresh, bright and super cheap flowers.

It was a great place to convince my boyfriend to buy me two dozen roses for the whopping price of five whole dollars. It was also a great place to wear my Boyfriend Vest from Wet Seal +.

Since DTLA is notoriously cool, this oversized blazer vest helped me blend in, disguising the tourist vibe I'm sure I was giving off by taking pictures of everything. Even if I did come off as a tourist, at least I did it with a beautiful bouquet, the perfect blazer vest and a sweet boyfriend by my side.
