Good Things

In a strange turn of events, I'm actually excited for today, despite the fact that it's the universally dreaded Monday. I start my internship at a magazine here in Atlanta, and I can't help but feel like good things are getting ready to happen.

"Looking through some past posts, it is abundantly clear that I am a little white dress girl, through and through."

Speaking of good things, I was able to squeeze one last LWD into this summer before I have to pack them up for good. I wouldn't have thought it, but looking through some past posts, it is abundantly clear that I am a little white dress gal, through and through. 

So, girlfriends, here's to the good things. Hopefully they're happening now, or getting ready to happen in ways we can't even imagine. All I know is, I'm ready for it, whether it be a great new opportunity or a great new dress.

Another Little White Dress

For someone who's always a hot mess, I own an awful lot of little white dresses. It's almost like I'm asking for the universe to just throw every sauce, drop of wine and make-up stain my way, but it's always worth it.

My favorite LWD dress has been this eyelet style I wore last summer, a very classic dress, perfect for a date night. It's the kind of white dress you cry over, praying you can scrub away a stain, and right now I just can't handle that kind of stress.

"IT'S THE KIND OF DRESS YOU CRY OVER, PRAYING YOU CAN SCRUB AWAY A STAIN, AND RIGHT NOW I JUST CAN'T HANDLE THAT KIND OF STRESS." 

That's why I love this crochet trim dress -- it's not precious. It's an easy, boho style I can just throw on during any hellishly hot day with comfy sandals and a stack of colorful bracelets. I don't plan on making a mess of it, but for future reference,  feel free to leave any stain removing tips below.

Hello Pretty

This weekend was a literal breath of fresh air after the overwhelming week I had. I don't want to relive it, but I'll say this: serious in-car cry sesh. You've been there, haven't you?

Usually when it gets this perfectly springy, the first things I reach for are brights and patterns, but I wanted the ease of a simple white dress and worn in denim jacket. Sort of like jeans and white tee, but with a lot more leg. 

"AFTER A WEEK OF CRYING IN YOUR CAR, IT'S OKAY TO WANT SPARKLE & KIND WORDS." 

My simple is never that simple, though. I OD'd on my sparkly bracelets and carried a supremely girly tote. Because, after a week of crying in your car, it's okay to want sparkle and kind words, even if they're coming from a tote.
