 It's Monday morning and you can't figure life out. What do you do? Stripes, girlfriend. You do stripes. 

Not that I needed another striped dress, but the vegan leather (okay, leatherette) pockets are a unique detail that made it worth adding to my collection. Oh, and the fact that it's only $15.

I'm getting a major party vibe even though it's a dreary Monday morning. It could be because this weekend was my best friend in the whole wide world's 25th birthday!!!! Extra exclamation marks necessary.

I took him to a Mad Men themed murder mystery dinner and we dressed for the era, since we were participants. I obviously wore Kate Spade in the spirit of celebration.  

He always entertains my desire to overdress, but more importantly, he's always been there for me. Thank god for best friends.

you're a jewel

I learned last week that I am a "caviar girl". Now tell me that doesn't sound glamorous. But what the hell does it mean?

That means, according to this video, that as a brunette, jewel tones work best on me. I would never limit colors in my closet, but some rules are fun to play with.

sweater weather

It's getting to be that time, y'all. Well, kind of. I'm talking cable knit, big and comfy, sweater season. 

Even though Atlanta won't really hit sweater temps until October, I'm working them in now. I want to feel like I'm wrapped a comfy blanket at all times during fall.

Until then, I'll just be closet confused. As in, fall sweaters on the top and summer shorts on the bottom.  I can get away with it, right?
